National Day of Action

Saturday 12th October 2024

With a new Government now in place, we have an opportunity to show our elected officials that we want to see them take action to tackle climate change and protect and restore nature at the top of their agenda, right from the start.

We’re inviting as many people and communities as possible across the UK, from all walks of life, to meet with their MP in their constituency on the 12th October, and raise climate and nature higher up their agendas.

COP 29 – Azerbaijan

Monday 11th – Friday 22nd November 2024

It’s a time to raise our voices about what action is needed.

Pesticides

PAN UK and they RSPB have brought out a new petition to ask the government to ban the use of pesticides in urban areas.

Sign the petition and join us in this urgent call to action

Fairtrade & Climate Justice

Climate change isn’t fair, Small-scale farmers who did the least to cause the climate crisis are feeling its worst effects right now. Lives and livelihoods are being lost due to extreme weather, pushing families and whole communities to the brink.

Fairtrade farmers are taking action already, many small-scale farmers and workers in countries most affected by climate change are often experts in adapting to climate change.

Unfair trade means Fairtrade farmers don’t have the money to invest in sustainable farming techniques that can secure a fairer, greener future for people, planet and the world’s food supply.

Fairtrade can help

Fairtrade is about fair pay for producers, so they have the resources and financial stability to protect the environment and adapt to the risks of climate change.

The Climate & Nature Bill needs your support

It’s a plan for the UK to tackle the climate emergency, global warming and biodiversity loss– written by scientists, experts and campaigners.

It already has huge support but was not included in the King’s speech.

The aims are:

  1. Make sure the UK cuts its emissions fairly and fully to stand the best chance of keeping 1.5°C alive
  2. Make sure the UK reverses the destruction of nature by 2030
  3. Involve citizens in deciding the fairest way forward
