CONTROVERSIAL plans to build 130 homes on fields on Hayling Island will be revealed tomorrow.

Tolcarne Drive Developments wants to build houses on land north of Goldring Close and south of Beech Grove.

A public exhibition has been arranged at the Royal British Legion in Legion Road.

But the housing plan has shocked islanders.

Only recently they were consulted by Havant Borough Council on whether the site should be developed at all.

Following feedback from residents, the council will decide which open spaces are to be put forward for development.

But developers could submit a planning application before this process has been completed.
